PRODUCTION PACKAGING ASSOCIATE

NeoCocoa is a small, award-winning chocolate confection manufacturer located on the San Francisco Peninsula in Belmont. Since 2008, we've been crafting nationally and internationally recognized treats—especially our thin, crispy chocolate-covered toffee brittles and wildflower honeycomb candy.

We’re currently seeking a Production Packaging Associate to help us finish and package our handcrafted confections. You’ll work closely with the Production Manager and Lead Chocolatier to ensure every product is packed with care and consistency. This is a great role for someone who enjoys working with their hands in a calm, clean kitchen environment.


Schedule & Compensation:

  • Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time
  • Pay: $19.00/hour
  • Shift Length: 4–5 hours/day
  • Start Time: Between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM (Flexible)
  • Days: Monday–Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Break and bag toffee brittle and honeycomb candy
  • Perform repetitive packaging tasks with care and precision
  • Assist in chocolate production and other departments as needed
  • Follow all food handling and safety guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including light janitorial duties
  • Keep your workstation organized and tidy
  • Communicate clearly with team members and report concerns to the Production Manager

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and move quickly
  • Physical stamina for repetitive wrist work and lifting up to 25 lbs regularly
  • Food safety and hygiene awareness
  • Experience in food packaging or production a plus (but not required)
  • Friendly, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed
  • Reliability and a desire to be part of a collaborative work environment
  • English language fluency (reading and speaking)

CHOCOLATE & CANDY PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

Since 2008, we’ve been creating nationally and internationally acclaimed treats known for their bold flavors and unique textures—especially our thin, crispy chocolate-covered toffee brittles and wildflower honeycomb candy.

We’re currently looking for a Chocolate & Candy Production Assistant to join our team and support both the chocolate and confectionery production sides of the business. You’ll work directly with the Lead Chocolatier and Lead Confectioner in a hands-on role that includes making, coating, and packaging confections. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about artisan candy-making and interested in building skills in both chocolate and sugar work.


Schedule & Compensation:

  • Pay Range: $21.00–$25.00/hour (depending on experience)
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, start time either 5am or 6am
  • Position Type: Part-time (20 hours/week) May either be shortened hours per day or a shortened work week. Hours would be anytime between 5AM - 2PM for 5 hours. 
  • Duration: Looking for candidates committed to staying 6 months or longer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in tempering and enrobing chocolate using commercial equipment (Selmi, ChocoVision, Savage Brothers)
  • Cook toffee brittle and honeycomb using stovetop and industrial kettle methods
  • Coat full sheet pans of brittle and enrobe honeycomb or marshmallows in chocolate
  • Prep raw materials and ingredients for daily production
  • Ensure equipment and machinery are clean, sanitized, and functioning properly
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment
  • Follow all food handling and safety guidelines
  • Wash dishes and clean surfaces as part of the daily workflow
  • Support department packaging, as needed
  • Communicate clearly with team members and report concerns to the Production Manager 

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1–2 years of experience in chocolate or candy/pastry production OR a strong passion to learn
  • Knowledge of tempering, enrobing, or cooking sugar is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Physically able-bodied: can lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks
  • Efficient, reliable, and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable in a quiet, calm, and focused production environment
  • Friendly, respectful, and communicative team player
  • Food safety and hygiene awareness
  • Fluent in reading and speaking English
